MCI 2017 (Malam Cinta Indonesia 2017) is an event of embodiment in both Indonesian and Japanese culture held biannually and organized by the collaboration of PPI Ibaraki and Merah Putih Kai. PPI Ibaraki is a non-profit organization consists of students and researchers of Indonesian nationality based in Ibaraki Prefecture that promotes and advertise both in academic and cultural exchanges cooperation. Merah Putih Kai is a non-profit organization which the members are Japanese nationality which has interests and connections to Indonesia and Indonesian culture and history.

 

MCI 2017 would be the 8th of the event, in order to exhibit the diversity of Indonesian culture by traditional dances and songs within the ranges of Indonesian locals as well as exhibiting some of the Japanese popular cultures. This event is an excellent opportunity to promote Indonesian culture to the global community, specifically to Japan. Also, Malam Cinta Indonesia is a pre-celebration of 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relation between Indonesia an Japan. In relation to that, the event would also work as the tool in maintaining Indonesia-Japan relationships which will help us to work and achieve our goals together.

 

 

Furthermore, MCI would also hold a charity event on site of the exhibition for the purpose of helping Indonesian academic quality, by the target of building facilities and infrastructure in one elementary school in West Java, Indonesia.
